Ivonne Verduzco, MD

Class of 2027

Hometown: Thermal, CA

Why ObGyn: I chose OBGYN because it allows me to integrate advocacy into my everyday work, support patients through some of the most pivotal moments of their lives, and build meaningful longitudinal relationships. I also love that OBGYN brings together all the aspects of medicine that I find most fulfilling, from inpatient and outpatient care to procedures and the operating room.

Why UCSF: I chose UCSF because of the incredible diversity of its residents, faculty, and patient population. It was important to me to train in a place where I could see people from a wide range of backgrounds represented and where I never felt like I was the only one of anything. I also knew that UCSF would provide the breadth and depth of clinical experiences needed to challenge me, help me grow, and ultimately shape me into a well-rounded and confident OBGYN.
