Mayra Repetto, MD

Class of 2029

Hometown: Salt Lake City, UT

Why ObGyn: I chose OBGYN because it sits at the intersection of surgery, longitudinal relationships, and some of the most consequential moments in a person’s life. I love that the specialty asks me to be technically skilled and clinically decisive while also earning patients’ trust and helping them navigate decisions about their bodies and reproductive lives.

Why UCSF: I chose UCSF because I wanted to train somewhere that takes both excellent clinical care and the systems surrounding our patients seriously, particularly in caring for patients who are often left out of the healthcare system. I’ve found a community here that pushes me to become a better surgeon and physician while also giving me the space to pursue the questions I care about in reproductive health, health equity, and advocacy.
