Why ObGyn: I wanted to be an OB/GYN since I was 5 years old, and despite the moments when this path has felt heavy, every step has reaffirmed that this is where I’m meant to be. I’m passionate about caring for the sickest birthing people and advocating for patients whose outcomes are shaped by both medical and social complexity.
Why UCSF: I first became interested in UCSF because of its commitment to advocacy, reproductive justice, and clinical excellence. That interest was reaffirmed at a reproductive justice conference in Montgomery, Alabama, when I gained a deeper appreciation for UCSF’s mission. I want a career centered on caring for medically and socially complex patients and UCSF felt like the best place to grow into that physician.
