Year
2007-2010 Investigating LGBT-curricular content in undergraduate medical education with two cross-sectional studies of Deans of Medical Education and Medical Students in the U.S. & Canada.
2007-2008 Determining cost-effectiveness of various strategies for the reduction of maternal mortality due to post-partum hemorrhage (PPH). Focused on misoprostol use for PPH prevention.
2006-2008 Vision Care Specialty Coordinator. Arbor Free Clinics & Cardinal Free Clinics in Menlo Park. Worked to expand vision care service to include corrective lens donation and ophthalmological exams.
2006-2007 Community needs assessment of adolescent alcohol, tobacco, and drug (ATOD) use and drug use related services in Half Moon Bay and Pescadero, CA.
2003-2004 Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) sponsored field research and participation in mobile clinics in El Salvador for the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer. Writing included examination of political economy, medical anthropology, and epidemiology of cervical cancer in El Salvador. Field research examined nutritional correlations (folate, vitamin A, and vitamin C) to cervical cancer.
2003 Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Sponsored Research; Osteoporosis Prevention Study among women of childbearing age in the WIC program in Greenfield, MA.
2002 Assistant to Midwives Project, Cuernavaca, Mexico; a training program for rural midwives in cervical and breast cancer detection.
