Both physicians and certified nurse midwives work side-by-side as one team. Our patients benefit from this approach both for their prenatal visits in the clinics and during their hospital stay. Being able to deliver your baby with minimal assistance is one of the key benefits of normal obstetrical care at UCSF. However, should the need arise, high-risk care can be provided seamlessly. This is because high-risk specialists work side-by-side with other providers, as one team.
