Research/Clinical Interests:
My current research is directed at the development of human embryonic stem cell (hESCs) derived primordial germ cells (PGCs) as a model to study human germ cell development and infertility. A protocol has been established where human PGCs have been successfully derived from hESCs and investigations are ongoing addressing the mechanism of germ cell differentiation and the creation of patient-specific stem cells as a model of human disease for translational research.
Dr. Tran is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
