UCSF CRH-Psychiatry Study

Study on Emotions and Cognition

We have an exciting opportunity for the members of your community to participate in the first research study of its kind! Our team is conducting a study to better understand how personality, cognitive, and emotional traits are passed on from parents to their children. In order to dissociate environmental and genetic factors, we need the help of families with children born through assisted conception (e.g. IVF, egg donor, surrogacy). We are currently recruiting IVF families with children ages 6 to 11.

We believe this study will greatly advance the understanding of the heritability of human brain and behavior. Additionally, this is a unique opportunity for families to learn about cognitive and emotional traits of themselves and of their children. It would be of great help if you could send out the enclosed flyers to any interested parties, your group email lists, and/or include it in your newsletter. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to ask us any questions.
