ABOUT ME

Although I was born in Texas, I soon left and grew up in Taiwan until I was 15. Moving back to the US as a lone teenager, I was fortunate to receive help from many individuals. This experience helped inform my passion in medicine, where I could also offer life-changing support for others and especially those who are invisible in our society. I want to help people in some of their most exciting, stressful, or helpless times. OB/GYN, with its intricacy both socially and medically, best parallel my original passion for medicine.

I feel privileged to train at UCSF, where I will be taught and challenged by leaders in all aspects of medicine and women’s health. I also feel honored to be joining a diverse community that fiercely advocates for social justice and eliminating health disparities. I believe that UCSF is a special institution that not only offers incredible clinical training and research opportunities, but also inspirational mentors who will help shape my identity as an OB/GYN and make me a better person.

Outside of medicine, I am most likely in a spin class or on an elliptical machine, traveling, finding the next best iced coffee in town, or watching TV shows. While I will miss having Dunkin’ Donuts around the corner, I cannot wait to start my training and explore new interests in the beautiful SF!
