Women’s Reproductive Health Research Career Development Program (NIH K12)

In July 2022, the UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences welcomed two research faculty as our new NIH K12 Women’s Reproductive Health Research Career Development Program (the WRHR) scholars-Nick Rubashkin, MD, MA, PhD and Stephanie Cham, MD. The WRHR program is an opportunity for outstanding junior faculty Obstetrician/Gynecologists to receive mentorship and to acquire new skills they need to reach their research goals. The program was first funded in 1998 in the initial round of WRHR awards.

Integrated Training in Reproductive Sciences (NIH T32)

This program prepares physicians and scientists for investigative careers in reproductive biology. During its 35 year history, this multifaceted and broadly-based program has trained over 100 postdoctoral fellows. Postdoctoral training is offered to PhDs in related disciplines and to clinically trained MD scientists with prior specialty training. The strengths of the program are:

  • the diverse skills and interests of the faculty
  • the interactiveness of the faculty
  • our substantial laboratory resources
  • the outstanding environment for research, mentoring and training in reproduction, development, endocrinology, cell biology, genetics and related areas at UCSF
