Research/Clinical Interests

Dr. Lager is a Gynecologist with expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques. She treats women with fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, ovarian cysts and endometriosis. She is the Associate Director of the UCSF Center for Endometriosis. With membership in both the University of California Fibroid Network and the UCSF Comprehensive Fibroid Center, Dr. Lager is an active participant in efforts to improve the care of women with fibroids through research, education, and collaborative clinical practice. She works closely with radiology and interventional radiologists to consider the best treatment plan for each patient.

Dr. Lager is passionate about teaching and developing our future heath care leaders. She has received teaching awards from the Academy of Medical Educators, the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Exceptional teaching awards for students. She is the Director of Medical Student Education in OBGYN, overseeing medical student education over the 4 year curriculum. She is also the Clinical Clerkship Director for Obstetrics and Gynecology for the School of Medicine.
