Principal Investigator: Sandra Weiss, PhD, DNSc, FAAN
Goal:
To understand how mother and infant stress are related to hormones, health problems, and other factors during pregnancy and the first year after baby’s birth.
Eligibility:
· 18 years of age or older
· Speak English or Spanish
· Live in the Bay Area
Study components:
Mothers will complete questionnaires and give samples of their saliva during pregnancy and at 3 times after the baby’s birth. The baby will be assessed when 2 weeks old and at 2 home visits when 6 and 12 months of age.
Compensation: $200-$250
