Examples of advocacy activities include:

  • Policy advocacy

  • Dissemination of relevant research
  • Work with professional organizations
  • Internal advocacy within UCSF to change policies to benefit patients

Ob, Gyn & RS Committee Charge:

  • Take inventory of the department’s advocacy activities, interests, and needs
  • Review and analyze activities to optimize opportunities
  • Promote advocacy efforts for collaboration within the department and for increased visibility at the local, state, and national levels
  • Develop skill-building activities and resources to help the department’s faculty and staff advance their advocacy work
  • Process, findings, and recommendations to be reviewed presented to the department Leadership Council, twice per year and at All Hands Faculty meeting
