About Me

Growing up, I recognized the danger behind the stigmatization of women’s health and the limited access to equitable and language-appropriate healthcare. My interest in ObGyn flourished with my work experiences in college when I interned at lobbying and community based organizations focused on women’s reproductive justice. From then on, I wanted to grow as an advocate for women’s health in the most vulnerable of populations. What I love about the specialty is the longitudinal care we provide through the many stages of a women’s life. I also enjoy the unique opportunity to combine my skills in both primary care and surgery.

UCSF has always been a dream residency program for me. I can clearly remember researching the program as a junior in college and appreciating everything UCSF stood for. I am grateful to train at an institution that will not only help me grow to become the best ObGyn I can be, but also celebrate me for who I am and what I stand for as an underrepresented resident in medicine.

I was born and raised in Southern California’s Inland Empire and I am the proud daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico. Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my siblings. I’m the middle child of seven, so there is never a dull moment with my family. I enjoy trying new foods and my favorite meal to make are my abuelita’s fish tacos. I also enjoy playing volleyball, traveling, and hanging out with my canine companion, Luna.
