About Me

I was born and raised in Huainan, Anhui, China and immigrated to Sacramento, California at the start of high school. As a first-generation college student and English learner, my journey to higher and medical education has always been challenging, but my curiosity and passion for healthcare helped me persevere and become the physician I am today. I am always looking for ways to give back to those who have supported my journey and the communities beyond.

The field of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences (OBGYN) offers me the most breadth and depth of medical practice. While I like to perform surgical procedures to yield immediate medical solutions, I also enjoy serving as the primary care provider to instill a sense of belonging within my patients in this complex healthcare system. Furthermore, OBGYN allows me to advocate beyond individual care to the level of public health, as well as to advance women’s and gender-diverse health as a society.

I am grateful and excited to be training at UCSF, where diversity and hardships are valued as a part of excellence. With my unique multicultural background and a wide range of professional experience, I am determined to fully utilize the resources at UCSF to provide compassionate and excellent health care to all of my patients.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, baking, and boba tasting. Call me Marie Kondo 2.0 because I love home and office organization. I will also never say no to a good dance or karaoke session.
