About Me

I was born in Valencia, Venezuela and moved to Miami, FL officially in 2002. I spent most of my summer in Venezuela until I was about 16 and still have family over there. I have three sister, two of which have kids. So I have three nieces and nephews and one more nephew on the way! I love my family!

Why OB/GYN?

I went into medical school wanting to pursue a specialty where passionate advocacy was part of the job description and not just an extracurricular activity and when I found OBGYN during my clerkship year, I knew it was the perfect place for me! I am so excited to be advocating for all patients in residency.

Why UCSF?

I was looking for a residency program that matched my personal and professional values and I found exactly that with UCSF. As I was reading the mission statement and the statement of values, it meshed exactly with why I wanted to become a doctor, and an OBGYN, in the first place. Lastly, as a member of the Latinx and LGBTQ+ communities, I was excited to be part of a residency program that celebrated and embraced all of my identities so that I could feel at home.

Outside of Residency

I love anything active from running to dancing to hiking. I began by dancing Salsa and Merengue and over time I’ve picked up other styles. Fun fact, I danced Bhangra for about 4 years in college and a bit in med school!
