About Me

Why Ob/Gyn?

My interest in Women’s Health was sparked in my 3rd year of medical school during my Ob/Gyn rotation. I was in awe of the breadth of the specialty from learning the pathophysiology of pregnancy, to the advancements made in infertility care, and life-saving surgical and medical management of gynecologic malignancies. I also enjoyed the continuity of care with patients and the opportunities for advocacy within the field. My interest in Ob/Gyn was further solidified by working with underserved patients during medical school. It is my earnest hope that I continue to serve patients from disadvantaged backgrounds throughout my professional career.

Why UCSF?

I was drawn to the institution’s commitment to advocacy, diversity and inclusion. UCSF is filled with pioneering physicians who are at the forefront of advancements in the field of Ob/Gyn. It is such a privilege to have the opportunity to both work with and learn from such tremendous leaders and inspiring minds. I was additionally inspired by the programs commitment to social justice and providing excellent patient care, especially to marginalized and underserved communities.

What I do outside of residency?

I love to travel and spend time with my family and friends. I also love a good book and am an avid foodie. I look forward to exploring the Bay Area, learning new hiking spots, visiting new restaurants and meeting wonderful people.
