About Me

I, like many of my peers came to medical school thinking I knew exactly what I wanted to do specialty wise. I was pleasantly surprised during my 3rd year clerkship when I found myself falling in love with OBGYN. I loved the diversity of clinical experiences within the specialty, the combination of medical, surgical, and primary care, but it was the intimacy of the physician-patient relationship that initially attracted me to the field. I soon realized the ability to support patients through both the best and worst moments of their lives, empower women at every age and stage, and be an advocate for women both in and outside of the hospital, made OBGYN the perfect field for me.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to train at UCSF. I did an away rotation early in my 4th year of medical school and fell in love with the incredibly inspiring, dedicated, and passionate people that make UCSF an amazing place to train. After interviewing all over the country, I knew there was no place like UCSF. The strong clinical training, unparalleled clinical experiences both here and abroad, and dedication to the underserved, were all things I sought in a residency program. However, it was the unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion, social justice, and advocacy, that sealed the deal for me. As a Louisiana native, I am thrilled to begin this new adventure, and take in all that UCSF and San Francisco has to offer.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, and look forward to exploring several new cities on the west coast and abroad. I love cooking and trying new recipes, attending festivals and concerts, visiting wineries, spending time with my family and friends, and playing with my adorable Shih Tzu, Bella.
