About Me

Why OB/GYN?

So many reasons! One is that pregnancy is often the first time many young patients, especially those from marginalized communities, interact with the healthcare system or even become adequately insured. It makes us uniquely positioned to address structural barriers to health and advocate for policy changes to improve outcomes for underserved patients. Also, few fields truly allow you to walk a patient through every step of their care from clinic to inpatient floor management to the operating room.

Why UCSF?

I wanted to be trained by a community that would encourage me to challenge the status quo and critically think about how we could be doing better for patients. The commitment to health equity here is so clear and I feel confident that I will become the OB/GYN I want to be by training at UCSF. Plus, the people are amazing!

Outside of Residency

Traveling, going to concerts, trying new places to eat, and (most importantly) sitting in the sun!
