About Me

Before medical school, I spent my time advocating for sexual violence prevention and reproductive justice, two movements grounded in the belief that everyone deserves control over what happens to their body, that certain bodies are disproportionately affected and that the impact of the resultant trauma is significant. To me, caring for patients as an OBGYN is deeply connected to questions of autonomy, identity and trauma—the same things that brought me to medicine in the first place.

As a medical student at UCSF, I witnessed the OBGYN department’s compassion for its patients and commitment to justice. The UCSF OBGYN residency program prioritizes the parts of the specialty that matter most to me, which are robust family planning training, opportunities to care for trans and non-binary patients, and trauma-informed care. I feel grateful to join the UCSF OBGYN community and to learn from those who have also selected this institution to be their home for the next four years.

In my free time, I like to run, bike, and FaceTime my family and friends in DC, which is where I grew up. I am perpetually and reluctantly pet-less, so I spend a great deal of time admiring other peoples’ dogs.
