Collaborative Care

The midwifery practice in the Maternal Fetal-Medicine division and UCSF Health is a fully integrated clinical partner with our MFM/Obstetrics clinicians caring for a range of obstetrical patients. We are a collaborative practice.This means that a woman who has a complicated pregnancy can receive MFM care and and get midwifery services throughout her labor and delivery.

Comprehensive & Inclusive Midwifery Care

Our midwives provide comprehensive, inclusive care across the reproductive health journey. They are actively involved in specialized programs and clinics serving LGBTQ+ and Black birthing communities, providing culturally responsive care that centers each patient’s identity, values, and lived experience.
