Gynecology
A wide range of gynecology services are available including annual exams and a number of specialty services addressing dysplasia, reproductive endocrinology, infertility, menopause, gynecologic oncology, family planning, urogynecology, benign breast disease and other issues.
Gynecological Surgical Service
At ZSFG we routinely perform surgeries like hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), myomectomy (surgical treatment of fibroids), tubal ligation for birth control and surgical treatment of ovarian cysts and endometriosis. We also offer specialty surgery for cancers of the ovary, uterus, and cervix and advanced surgical treatments for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
We offer the latest in surgical technology with minimally-invasive surgical options. These techniques allow us to perform complex procedures, including most hysterectomies, operations for prolapse of the uterus or vagina, endometriosis and cancer cases where appropriate through small incisions that allow for shorter recovery times. In addition, we are expert at vaginal hysterectomy—often the least invasive way to remove a uterus because there will be no incisions on the abdominal wall.
All of our attending physicians are board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology with many completing sub-specialty training as well.
