Application Process

 

IMPORTANT DATES FOR REI FELLOWSHIP APPLICANTS 2025

Thursday, May 1, 2025: (12PM CST): Deadline for fellowship programs to receive fellowship applications.

Wednesday, June 4, 2025: Initial notification to invite candidates for interviews.

Wednesday, June 11, 2025 (12PM CST): Initial deadline for applicants to accept or decline interview date. Additional interview invitations can be sent at this time.

Friday, June 20, 2025: Deadline for alerting invited candidates as to which interview date they are given (including option of wait listing them if they cannot make the offered slot) as well as informing ALL candidates of their status (i.e. invited for interview; wait-listed; or rejected).

September 17, 2025 (9 pm ET): Rank Order List Certification Deadline

 

APPLICATION: Please submit your application to the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) at www.aamc.org/eras. Additionally, fellowship candidates must apply to the (National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) to participate in the Match by registering online at http://www.nrmp.org/.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: Thursday, May 1, 2025: (12 PM CST)

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Online ERAS application that includes at least three letters of recommendation and a personal statement.  In addition, please email your CREOG scores to Patrick Canio.

INTERVIEW DATES FOR APPLICANTS: Friday, August 22, 2025; Tuesday, August 26, 2025; and Friday, August 29, 2025

Please note that our program is funded in part by an NIH Training Grant. Recipients of those grant funds are restricted to U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents, therefore, we regret that we cannot accept applications from those who do not hold citizenship or permanent residency in the U.S.

 

 

Recruitment and Selection Process

The Fellowship program selects and appoints trainees in accordance with the University of California and GME policy, and in compliance with all Federal and State laws. We select eligible applicants on the basis of aptitude, preparedness, academic credentials and career goals.
