The strength of our research programs is what distinguishes us.

We invite you to explore our diverse range of research programs!
For nearly 20 years the UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences has proudly ranked #1 or #2 for National Institutes of Health grant funding within ob/gyn departments across the country. Our scientists advance treatments for ovarian cancer, maternal mortality, and IVF.
We are proud to house the Center for Reproductive Sciences (CRS), a unique research unit that promotes high-quality, cutting-edge basic science research. Department research programs investigate and impact a vast array of reproductive health areas including environmental impact research on reproduction, social science research to improve reproductive access and care, and global research on HIV and cancer prevention efforts.
