Multidisciplinary Approach
We are proud to bring together physicians and staff to provide comprehensive endometriosis care for women of all ages with all stages of endometriosis and related disorders. Our team is led by a fellowship-trained surgeon with expertise and minimally invasive gynecologic techniques. Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of surgeons, physical therapists, gastroenterologists, urogynecologists, sexual health experts, alternative/integrative medicine providers, pain experts, radiologists, infertility doctors and psychologists are housed under the UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women's Health.
Our patient centered model emphasizes individualized and holistic care, sustainable management, and improved patient satisfaction. Diagnosis and treatment is a fully collaborative process that patients can bring to their own gynecologist for long-term treatment.
Center Highlights
- Physicians are active members of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Surgeon (SGS), the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the World Endometriosis Society.
- Surgeons perform either laparoscopic, robotic, or vaginal procedures through incisions as small as 5-8 millimeters in diameter from benign, non-cancerous gynecologic conditions, such as hysterectomy, myomectomy, and/or excision of endometriosis.
- Seamlessly integrated cutting edge research in endometriosis with international experts.
