Abigail Shatkin-Margolis MD and Caitlyn Painter DO
Our urogynecologists care for women with bowel or urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and urethral or bladder dysfunction. They have expertise in surgical and nonsurgical treatment options, including behavioral and biofeedback therapies, offered through the Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Program. The urogynecology specialists have experience treating all conditions of the female urinary and reproductive tract. These doctors are specialists with additional training and experience in the evaluation and treatment of conditions that affect the female pelvic organs, and the muscles and connective tissue that support the organs. Some of the common problems treated by a urogynecologist include urinary incontinence or leakage, pelvic organ prolapse (dropping of the vagina, uterus, cystocele, rectocele), and overactive bladder.
