**If more than 20 students wish to enroll in the elective, participants will be randomly chosen by random number generator.

Course requirements:
This is a pass/fail course. Students must attend all 6 hours of interactive sessions (the 4 classes marked with a star) and 2/4 lectures to pass, which is an equivalent of at least 8 hours of class.
Make-Up Session:
If a student misses more lectures than allowed, the student must complete makeup work in the form of 1) short paper or presentation to be assigned by the student coordinators and approved by the course faculty advisor or 2) attending an optional documentary viewing.
