Research/Clinical Specialties:

Dr. Zhang's academic interests lie at the intersection of clinical advancement of gynecologic surgery, healthcare disparities, and medical education. She provides minimally invasive treatment via both traditional laparoscopy and the Da Vinci robot platform for fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic masses, and pelvic pain.

Her research interest include use of the Da Vinci robot in benign gynecologic surgery, fertility considerations for patients with adenomyosis, incidence of intra-uterine adhesions following hysteroscopic myomectomy, and disparities in care for patients with endometriosis.

In her career, she will continue to explore the barriers to care that keep marginalized populations from receiving the best possible care and continue to instruct residents and fellows.
